SHIRLEY BALES FINE ART

Eleven Mile Canyon Collection

I love nature. It's the place where I find balance, peace, solace, and renewal. Inspired by the seasons, the sound of the flowing water, I carry with me visions of wildflowers and the longing for freedom to roam and explore.

We have WOOD!!!!

Eleven Mile Canyon Collection

We have WOOD!!!!

I hand make my own frames out of high quality locally sourced wood, milled, mitered and finished by yours truly and my framing team (my husband).

And I confess . . . I am in LOVE with the process of making frames!!

😍

I custom finish each frame to compliment the original art. I find each piece of wood uniquely beautiful with all its variations and imperfections.

I’ve been thinking so much lately about persistence . . . how many times have you accomplished something you thought was impossible, then looked back, only to realize that if you hadn’t taken every agonizing step along the way, you never would have gotten there?

These frames have been such a venture for me.

I can't wait for you to see them!

Shirley Bales, artist

Hi there! I'm Shirley. I am a multi-generational painter. While I was practically born with a paintbrush in hand, I formally studied fine art under an accomplished forensic portrait artist and other notable illustrators in the 1990's. My favorite thing to do is paint outside. I learned most of my technical knowledge from the forerunners of the Classical Realism Movement, and paint with historical mediums, primarily in oil. My work resides in thousands of private collections nationwide, and I am so grateful. Now a resident of Colorado Springs, I hope someday soon to take the show on the road in my new RV. Please come along for the ride!
